Objectives
Knowledge of:
- Indications for PTA/stenting of the pelvic aorta, choice of materials
- Use of large-lumen uncovered/covered stents for aortic lesions
- Access routes to the pelvis: retrograde, simultaneous bilateral, ‘cross-over’ / transbrachial access with or without a long
sheath - Management of lesions of the internal iliac artery
- Recanalisation techniques for CTOs (retrograde, wire loop manoeuvre / pull-through manoeuvre,
hybrid procedures)
Simulator- and/or model-assisted technical performance of:
- PTA/stenting of pelvic lesions, retrograde and ‘cross-over’
