Advanced Course in Endovascular Techniques – Pelvic Vessels

Objectives:

	Knowledge of:
-	Indications for PTA/stenting of the pelvic region, material selection
-	Use of large-bore uncovered/covered stents for lesions of the aorta
-	Retrograde access to the pelvis, simultaneous bilateral, cross-over/transbrachial access with/without long sheath
-	Treatment of lesions of the internal iliac artery
-	Recanalisation techniques for CTOs (retrograde, wire loop manoeuvre/pull-through manoeuvre, hybrid procedure)

	Technical implementation assisted by simulator and/or model of:
-	PTA/stenting of pelvic lesions, retrograde and cross-over

10:00 – 11:00	Welcome and introduction Indications for therapy, current guidelines Hybrid procedure vs. transcutaneous procedure in LA Materials science BMS, DES, covered stents, sheaths, wires Access on one side, on both sides from axillary/transcubital Recanalisation techniques for CTO
11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m	Introduction to the models and simulators (10 min) Exercise part I at the workstations and simulators
12:00 – 13:00	Exercise part II at the workstations and simulators
1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m	Break
2:30 – 3:30	CERAB, rotational thrombectomy Treatment of lesions of the internal iliac artery Video case presentations with discussion rounds
3:30 p.m.	Practical session III at the workstations and simulators
4:30 p.m.	Exercise section IV at the workstations and simulators
